The world accommodates you for fitting in, but only rewards you for standing out.

In a world that tells us to assimilate, to dim our light, to play small, The Somali Circle exists to remind you of your original blueprint. We're a circle of Somali entrepreneurs, builders, thinkers and creators all bound by one shared belief: your future won’t be saved by someone else. It’s up to us.

The mission

What you can’t see, you can’t become.

For years, we were forced to look through windows. Watching others lead, raise capital, build companies, and shape the world. We were almost never part of the picture. And when you’re never reflected in the spaces that shape the world, it’s easy to question if you even have a place there.

The Somali Circle is about building more mirrors in society. Mirrors that reflect who we are, what we’re capable of, and how far we’ve already come.

Our Story

Unity is strength. The Somali Circle is a home for Somali entrepreneurs to come together and succeed. Built by Somali entrepreneurs, for Somali entrepreneurs, our community welcomes you wherever you are on your journey. Whether you’re finding your first clients or ready to scale up. Through weekly mastermind calls, proven systems, and step‑by‑step resources, we make sure you never have to build alone.

Our Vision

We don’t wait for the future—we build it. Our goal is a world where every Somali entrepreneur has a circle of peers who cheer on wins, tackle obstacles together, and set new standards of success. From Amsterdam to Mogadishu, we’re empowering Somali founders to create real connections, share resources, and turn ambition into lasting impact.

Our Mission

We’re on a mission to help 1000 Somali entrepreneurs reach 5‑ and 6‑figure earnings. With clear, beginner‑friendly training that’s also powerful enough for advanced founders, we guide you through every aspect of launching, growing, and scaling a profitable business. Join us for practical templates, monthly and bi‑weekly calls, and a network that understands your challenges and celebrates your victories.

Win with your people

Co-founder

Guleed Afhakame

Guleed grew up in a nomadic tribe near Burco. When he moved to the Netherlands, he felt like an outsider. What began as a burden became his greatest strength: the ability to connect worlds and build communities rooted in culture.

With over ten years of marketing experience at brands like Nike, Ben & Jerry’s, Volvo, and Red Bull, Guleed mastered strategies that deliver real growth. When he realized these brands often harmed African communities, he left his role as Content Manager and founded Tribe Leaders—now the largest social media agency in the personal development space in the Netherlands.

By combining world-class brand strategies with his Somali values, Guleed built an agency that creates tribes, not just brands. Through The Somali Circle, he now shares his expertise to empower Somali entrepreneurs.

Co-founder

Jibril Qorane

After earning his degree in Mechanical Engineering, Jibril Qorane began building a career as an engineer but Allah had different plans. It started when he tutored the son of an adeer, and word quickly spread: Somali children were moving from 6s to 8s and 9s. What began as a simple favor became a calling.

Jibril founded Bijles is Kennis to turn that neighborhood initiative into a multi-city tutoring network. By designing scalable systems and automating key processes, he transformed one-on-one sessions into an organization that tackles educational inequality across the Netherlands.

As part of The Somali Circle, he guides entrepreneurs to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and unlock opportunities. His expertise in system design and goal-setting provides the tools needed to turn ambition into lasting success.

The Somali Circle

A curated circle of Somali founders with real traction. You get matched accountability crews, monthly scaling loops, cultural alignment, active feedback, and a shared rhythm that turns random progress into repeatable scale.

Traditional business groups

General networking and advice with little shared context. There is no consistent structure for scale and no cultural nuance guiding the journey.

Online courses

Information and frameworks without real-time feedback or shared accountability. Execution is on you and context is missing.

Local networking events

Occasional connection with inconsistent follow-through. There is no built-in process to turn introductions into sustained scale.

Going it alone
